2005 Toyota 4Runner V8 Limited Edition
General experience:
It’s the third 4-Runner I ever had and I’m totally happy with my car. I wanted to buy anything else after my 1991 and 1999 4-Runners, not because I didn’t like my cars. I just wanted to get something American, more patriotic, you know. But I discovered that there is nothing to pick out for the same price and quality from any American trucks and SUV’s. I was looking through many reviews on internet and there were no complaints on Toyota’s engine nor the way 4-Runner behaves on different conditions. Then I looked on American cars reviews and there were some complaints. I’m sorry to say that, because it offends me not any less than maybe some of you, but that is something we have no control over. The only problems the Toyota 4-Runner owners met were some problems with mileage but I don’t think it’s as bad as it could be. When it goes 50mph and I’m pulling 1700 rpm it’s about 20mpg. I’m perfectly okay with such a consumption for a car as big as 4Runner.
Pros and cons:
+ A very good ride and perfect control. Moderate gas mileage and stylish in- and exterior.
Just a little smaller back space than I need. But it’s ok.

2005 Toyota 4WD V6 Limited Edition
General experience:
I adore the action of its amazing v6 engine by Toyota. Its sound and performance make me feel so powerful. I’ve got it all brand new and the smell of the leather seats, lots of room for my kids, the perfect system of environment control, sunroof and everything else including the smallest details – everything was made for my convenience. The car is durable and very thoroughly made. I like the easiness of the control – one button switches 2WD/4WD. The car acts like a whole piece, when you want to dive from one lane to another – there are no problems at all. Every second you can feel the total control over it. I also can say that the music system it comes with is top class. It’s JBL speakers with 6CD changer, which lets you listen almost the acoustics of the home cinema quality. We’ve been travelling throughout the USA from the east coast westwards all the way to LA and it was such a pleasure for all passengers and me as a driver. I’m just in love with this car and I highly recommend all of you to get one, if you are thinking of a family car or SUV to get.
Pros and cons:
+ Durability and utility. The unique interior which makes you feel like at home/ plenty room. Excellent engine and control characteristics for the best quality and comfortable ride. Toyota is my favorite car since the day I’ve got this one!
Gas consumption is 19-23mpg (in the city and highways) and it’s expensive to fuel this car.

2007 Toyota 4Runner Sport Edition
General experience:
Six cylinders engine of my 4Runner is amazing. I enjoy the sound of my engine and its willingness to overcome hills easily. When we were buying this car at first I wanted Honda Pilot (my favorite brand). We tested Honda and Toyota 4Runner (which my wife wanted to get) and it was the day when there was no way to disagree with my wife. The car (I mean Toyota 4Runner) acted more aggressive and I totally enjoyed the ride starting the first second. The capacity and the functionality are top level. The gas efficiency was a good news as well (highway 23mpg, city traffic 18mpg). I’m owning this car for two years and I totally satisfied with the quality and outstanding look and character of 4Runner. There are no complaints at all! No matter what is the weather or any other condition, my car moves fast and stable. All my family members are happy I’ve got this car because it really works for us, and it’s designed the way to satisfy all our family members (including even my dog)! : )
Pros and cons:
+ Everything, including gas consumption, top class comfort, outstanding design in and outside the car. Everything is made for a human with care! Simply the best car I ever had!
- Didn’t notice any.

2004 Toyota Camry LE
General experience:
Many problems and inconveniences starting the very first day I owned the car. I don’t feel secure as my car tends to tremble at a high speed. The dealer was trying to fix it several times by regulating a wheel balance and so on, but it won’t help. In a month I got tired of their tries and wanted to make a change or whatever. At this point they started saying there’s no problem in my car at all. I got used to a weird manner of the work of transmission, but this dizzy feeling at high speed is not an easy thing to get used at all. There are also some other things I’m not quite satisfied with about Toyota Camry 2004. I like the leg’s room and my driver’s seat, but there is something uncomfortable about the viewity I get as a driver. It seems like I’m getting more blind dots on sides than the other drivers on the other cars.
Pros and cons:
+ Perfect outfit, appropriate gas mileage, acceleration is good enough for that engine
- No comfort and feeling of safety for me as a driver. Unsatisfactory paint coat, easy to scratch. The service level is embarrassing for such a well-known company as Toyota.

General experience:
I never feel safe driving this car, because of the bad breaks. I got used to keep quite a distance between me and the car I follow, because I never know how my car would behave if I try to slow down it of a sudden. It’s scary to drive this car in a rainy weather and make any sudden manoeuvres, because of the bad breaks. The car has unsatisfactory transmission. Every time I try to make a rush, the engine seems to roll the car. It’s like the engine isn’t powerful enough. However it’s the quietest car I’ve ever driven before. I don’t like the front seats comfort as well. There is no room for legs for a passenger and the driver’s seat even less comfortable. I can’t see enough of the space outside my car, while driving. The seat should be at a different place I think, and they could have made it much comfortable to sit. I have to admit that the back seats are top class. There are plenty of room and comfort for three passengers. The trunk is really big, much bigger than I’ve expected. In general I can’t say whether this car is better for a city ride or for highways. In my opinion it could behave much better in both occasions, if it would have a better brake system and transmissions. Many things to improve are needed.
Pros and cons:
+ Quiet car with big trunk and good conditions for passengers on the back
- Bad visibility of rear/sides for a driver and not a good comfort at all for a driver and a person on the front seat. Bad breaks.

Toyota Camry LE 2005
General experience:
This car totally sucks. The rotors turned every 5000 miles because of the spongy brakes. High gas consumption is a wonder for me. I can understand if the car has either a high level gas consumption, or a low power engine. This car has both and it’s rated 28mpg (up to 36mpg on a highway!). The cheap paint on this car leads to the numerous scratches. The breaks seem to squeeze more and more everyday. Something is rattling by the passenger’s side and it’s getting more and more annoying when every piece comes together. What made me mad when I saw that chrome moulding is already rusting, in fact we have a mild climate… The service is bad. Some serviceman aren’t appropriate at all.
Pros and cons:
+ Haven’t noticed
- Fuel consumption, brakes squeezing, paint and windshield glass quality, service, rusting.

General experience:
Toyota used to be my favorite car brand before this Toyota Camry I got. In fact it was my fourth Toyota and probably the last ever. I personally don’t like the attitude of the salesmen and the web site support team. Sometimes they would just ignore me, so it made me feel, they had too many things to arrange, and they had been doing everything but what I, as a client, was asking them to do for me. Within less than a month I got my Camry, it figured out that my car had defects of brake rotors and tires. The dealers had fixed it, but I didn’t even hear any “sorries”, like it’s a normal thing. During my first year having that car I had more problems than with all my previous three new cars. I changed the car for Honda Accord and now I’m happy I got rid of my Camry, because everytime I was riding it I wasn’t sure if I was safe; and if everything’s okay with my car. This car has become a total disappointment for me and my mistrust to Toyota.
Pros and cons:
+ Some of the other Toyota Camry cars are much better quality than mine. Fair price, good looking exterior.
- A bad quality of breaks, too many small problems – bad reputation for Toyota, which used to mean “reliability”. Personally I can’t rely on Toyota anymore.

General experience:
Toyota Camry LE 2006 was bought at a “special offer” for Christmas and I was totally amazed with its style and design. It’s quieter than my brother’s Honda Accord, but not as fast though. What’s annoying is the quality of its paint, but I had easily got dent for it. The car is easy to scratch by the tiny stones. You need to keep it in your mind if you like to travel on suburban roads or somewhere in the woods off-roads. After I have been using it for 3 years (25000 miles) the only thing I had a problem with is a damaged wiper blade. As for me this fact shows the top quality of Toyota as a brand. There are several things to improve in this car to make it perfect though.
Pros and cons:
+ I liked the price and the special offer, when I bought it. I like its reliability most of all now, when I already use it for three years.
- Paint quality is awful. Really is! Some of the materials used for exterior and interior are really not top class. I would expect better quality materials and paint for the car like Toyota Camry.
Model/Year:
Toyota Corolla 2006 CE Automatic
General experience:
The car is very economic and need much less gas than the competitors. But since I got the car I started thinking of getting rid of it. I’ve had very serious problems with my Corolla, starting the first week I got it. At first I saw that the engine temperature gauge shows the overheat, when I was standing in a traffic jam. I took my Corolla to the dealer and it appeared that the radiator fan wasn’t installed on the factory at all. If I would not have noticed it myself it would probably cause the engine failure. Since that situation I wasn’t sure about my car’s quality at all. And confirming my fears to my disregard I had to change my front tires and make an alignment. As the dealer explained I probably had driven over something huge, but I know I hadn’t. I’m sure there was something wrong with the front tires from the very beginning.
After 15000 miles I heard a weird sound of the transmission. It sounded like “knock-knock” and it really freaked me out. I took the car to the service again. It’s been for the third time already during the first year! The service man told me to leave the car for a couple days. After diagnostics they told me that there was something wrong with the transmission relay switch. These words don’t mean much for me, but I’m sure this is not something that occurs to a good brand new car. It was even sadder to hear that there was also a problem with the computer module, which they also needed to replace. I’ve taken back my car only in two weeks and decided to sell it the day before the warranty term ends. You can never be sure in a car like this and that’s a reason I’m not recommending it for any of you guys to buy. I’m sure you can buy a more reliable car for the same price. Sorry for Toyota, their quality and service.
Pros and cons:
+ Fuel mileage is the only good thing I can mention. Everything else is either normal, or bad.
- Bad quality! I know that my car is not the only lemon, because I know a couple of dudes who owns Corolla, having even more problems with their cars, than I do. Lots of problems and inconveniences. Bad service. They are trying to deny bad quality, telling me what I might do wrong. In fact I know how to treat my car and I know that they should work better, much better if they want me to buy Toyota ever again!

Toyota Corolla 2007 LE
General experience:
I didn’t buy this car and I’ll explain why. I’ve taken a test-drive. While moving at low speed, the car is moving smooth and quite. When the speed is about 60 miles per hour I can hear the roar of the road, and if you go faster you start loosing control and the noise grows louder. I was driving it and the wind was blowing hard, so that I couldn’t control my moves. This made me feel unsafe. What I can say it may be a good car with pretty low fuel consumption for a city ride. However it’s not designed to perform on a big road.
Pros and cons:
+ Low price, smooth city ride, gas economy
- Noisy, hard to operate on speed and in a windy weather.
