2007 Toyota Land Cruiser review

Model/Year:

2007 Toyota Land Cruiser

General experience:

I wouldn’t tell that the car shows great performance in all conditions. The car looks great inside and outside that’s true. But on windy weather sometimes it’s floating (at least my car) and that is not something I expected of such a huge and powerful vehicle as Toyota Land Cruiser. The music system installed by manufacturer is JBL and I’ve read lots of good reviews on internet about their acoustics, but in fact I dislike it. It just doesn’t sound like an expensive brand music system. I like jazz and I used to have some Panasonic music system in my old car (which are not claimed like top class) and they sounded way better on jazz. There is also some noise from the right rear wheel in rainy weather and I cant prove it to dealer because every time I come to the dealer everything works okay.

Pros and cons:

+ Stylish, amazing style and great engine! This is something the owners really love Toyota Land Cruiser for!

- The Toyota dealer seems like not being eager to accept their own car’s drawbacks. If that is the Toyota policy I’m wondering if they think that’s okay to behave in this way. JBL music sucks!

2008 Toyota Tundra 4.7 Double Cab SR5 review

Model/Year:

2008 Toyota Tundra 4.7 Double Cab SR5

General experience:

I traded Ford Expedition for getting this truck and I’m very happy about the design and style – that’s beyond any comments. However I also have to admit that Toyota Tundra shows its predator’s character on the road. If I push pedal of acceleration the truck accelerates right away with no hesitation. That was one of the Ford’s weird things for me – I pushed the pedal and the truck responded only in a few seconds. Well, the engine 4.7 is very powerful, but I thought it could have a better mileage though. However the power is so evident  in the moves of this car that I feel it even while rolling slowly. The flexibility and the ability to wave is also better than in any other truck I’ve seen, so that’s an extra compliment for Toyota Tundra. In general there are few things they could have made better, but still this car is adorable.

Pros and cons:

+ Very quite in a cab during the ride, which is smooth and feels safe. Stylish thing, heavy truck, a very powerful vehicle.

- Mileage… but wait what did I wanted for 4.7 Toyota Tundra engine?

2006 Toyota Land Cruiser review

Model/Year:

2006 Toyota Land Cruiser

General experience:

I am very happy that I got this car so far, but there are some extra features needed in a vehicle for over 50 thousand bucks. I’ve noticed a lack of the following things in Toyota Land Cruiser: there is no memory for driver seat, not enough of interior lighting, not a great system of the seat’s heat (I mean that only the bottom part of the seat is warm and I thought that the back part of the seat should also have this function). I can also tell that I don’t like the outside back view mirrors – they are huge and unfoldable. In fact the car is not that easy to park at all and if they made the rear view mirrors foldable that would be the least they could do to help driver in parking. But the things that are good about this car is worth a lot. I never had the crossover ever before, but 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser really impresses me by the way it acts on the slippery and snowy road. That is A+ for Toyota!

Pros and cons:

+ Great shifting, a very appropriate behavior on the slippery weather, smooth and safe drive for all passengers, a very powerful and solid vehicle with a nice and quite sound of the engine which is adorable for the owner.

- I think I have listed them all above: I lack some of the functions and hopefully they will add those to Toyota Land Cruiser and then they will make this car simply perfect!

2008 Toyota Tundra Double Cab review

Model/Year:

2008 Toyota Tundra Double Cab

General experience:

Look, you think that I might be kidding you, but I really personally think that my Toyota Tundra is the best truck ever. The reason why I’m saying that is because for more than 1.5 years the truck didn’t give me any reasons at all to hesitate in its quality, reliability and working abilities in general. It has a very safe ride and strong power to tow really heavy things, like boats. It is easy to manipulate, although it’s such a huge truck it’s got such a pleasantly big turning radius. I’ve had many major problems with my former American trucks and then I decided to get Toyota Tundra and that’s all. That was the day when my problems seem to come to the finish line. No broken details, no replacements, no problems at all. I recommend everyone to look at Toyota Tundra if you consider buying a big and super powerful truck.

Pros and cons:

+ Very powerful, and pretty much economic for the truck with double cab of this weight. The ride and turnings are great.

- Don’t know, really.

2009 Toyota Tundra Double Cab Long Box 4×4 review

Model/Year:

2009 Toyota Tundra Double Cab Long Box 4×4

General experience:

I’ve had many other trucks before and most of them including GMC and Chevy used to have some problems with their durability. The first 50,000 miles they were super reliable but later it all went nuts. I talked to my several friends and they advised me to buy Toyota Tundra Double Cab and ill tell you why I’m so happy now that I followed their advices, not listening to the forums, which tell many different stories about Toyota dealers, bad paint and so on, so forth. Well, the car has only 20,000 so far but I already see that it will be more durable, than my former trucks. Everything simply works. The construction is solid. The Double Cab Long Box has such an amazing inner space that I feel like I’m owning the whole train, not just the truck. Besides the 4×4 system works perfect. I checked it in off-roads driving in Kansas this summer and now it’s been snowing already a couple times in my area and I’m totally happy how 2009 Toyota Tundra moves on the snowy road. It seems like it’s made with such a strong will to make any customer happy about its quality. I understand that maybe it’s not time yet to tell about durability of Toyota Tundra, because I have been owning it only for less than a year, but wait… Three of my buddies have got 2007 Toyota Corolla and 2005 Toyota Corolla and they all kept telling me that they perform good for this type of cars and that they don’t have any problems with their Toyota sedans. So I hope my Toyota Tundra won’t be any worse.

Pros and cons:

+ The space inside amazes, the performance off-road, the 4×4 system, the performance on the snowy road.

- Can I have some running boards for people of my age?:)

2009 Toyota Tundra Regular Cab review

Model/Year:

2009 Toyota Tundra Regular Cab

General experience:

Hey guys, what I need to tell you that I really love these big trucks with their crazy power and hilarious look. I like the way the huge cars move in the neighborhood. I don’t even need to ride fast, I just roll slowly, like a giant dinosaur and everybody still notices my truck… Well, that’s kind of start of my short review of Toyota Tundra amazing super truck. I will tell you I used to have Chevy 2500 which is also huge and probably about the same size Ford 250. Comparing my brand new Toyota Tundra to Ford, they act pretty much the same. In fact I like the comfort and the way I feel inside of my Toyota a little better. My Chevy 2500 used to have lots of slight mechanical inconveniences which were not fatal but one day I realized how much it is annoying for me to keep trying to fix this car. Talking about my new 2009 Toyota Tundra I can only tell you that so far I have 14,000 miles and I’ still thrilled everyday I get inside, I still have this feeling of the new experience. There are no complaints so far, and I will be really glad to write here again and if I wouldn’t still have any! My truck has been acting fantastic in all senses so far.

Pros and cons:

+ Very nice ride, top comfort, lots of necessary features, I tow pretty big objects and the horse powers seems to be quite enough to manage to solve all of my problems.

- My Toyota Tundra with 14,000 miles driven still didn’t show any “minuses”. I wish it could be always so!

2006 Toyota Land Cruiser GXR automatic review

Model/Year:

2006 Toyota Land Cruiser GXR automatic

General experience:

In general I must admit the great comfort of this car and the fact that it makes me look very handsome. The car’s outlook is perfect and the leather salon is great as well. I’m also confident that Toyota Land Cruiser GXR automatic is a very reliable car. In my area winters is a real hardship for most of the drivers and there are always lots of incidents on the roads. In fact my 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser acts great both on the snow and on the solid road of the highway. The thing I really hate is that the manufacturer of such an expensive car doesn’t want to admit the slight defects that I have noticed the very first day I bought it. For instance when the automatic transmission shifts the gear between the speed 30 and 50 mph, there is a sudden noise somewhere inside and this is a manufacturer’s fault, but they keep telling me that it’s okay. Such attitude towards consumers is weird for me and I’ll be probably looking for Jeep Grand Cherokee soon, as my friend has no problems with this car. No problems at all.

Pros and cons:

+ Good winter ride on the snowy highway and off-road, reliability.

- Bad service is a pity and some slight manufacturer’s faults, such as the weird sound inside of the transmission.

Toyota Matrix XR AWD 2005 review

Model/Year:

2005 Toyota Matrix XR AWD

General experience:

I used to drive my small and fast BMW 318i, but needed to get a car for a whole family. I was concerned of getting an SUV or a truck, because most of those I like are bad at mileage and you know the gas is getting more expensive every year. That’s why we looked at Toyota RAV4, but my son said that it’s an SUV for ladies. Well, actually Toyota Matrix wasn’t something I was planning to take, but it seemed to be a good deal for 20.000$. We’ve made a trial and the first thing we were amazed of is the inner space, which is a good thing for a family car. Although it’s a little underpowered as I got used to, but probably it’s an additional safety function for me. I used to drive fast before and my wife was concerned about that sort of habit of mine. And the most important thing for me is the mileage which is just perfect. The solidness of Toyota Matrix is top class. I had several tiny problems which were quickly repaired under warranty by the dealer, so I like the Toyota service as well. I feel confident driving Toyota Matrix and I think it’s got a sexy look and my son doesn’t tell this car is for ladies. Ha-ha!)

Pros and cons:

+ GAS MILEAGE IS GREAT! Sexuality and style of this car is something that makes me enjoying my every ride.

-  Overall steering and handling of the car could be better. But I tell this comparing to BMW.

Toyota Matrix XR 2005 review

Model/Year:

2005 Toyota Matrix XR

General experience:

It’s got a sporty look, but I would like it to have a better engine. Sometimes I lack the power when I have 4 passengers and go uphill on the mountain road. It goes okay, but could be a little better. Well, this is the only discomfort to mention about Toyota Matrix. I’ve been having this car for a while and now I’m thinking to change it. I’ll probably take Toyota Matrix 2009 with more powerful engine to feel more confident on our mountains roads near my village. Why I like Matrix that much? – Because of the look and the compact size. It turns out to have plenty room inside out of sudden when you get inside. I also like it because everything’s made solid and every detail in interior and exterior underlines my personality and is designed for my comfort. The ride is good even in bad weather which is important in my area. The 5 speed transmission is also good and reliable. I just love this car!

Pros and cons:

+ Sporty look, plenty room, 25mpg on highway is great. Good planned interior, safe ride.

-  Weak engine is sometimes not enough for me.

Toyota Matrix 2007 review

Model/Year:

2007 Toyota Matrix

General experience:

Our family hobby is travelling and hiking so we used to have Nissan Quest with a pop-up trailer for camping. Since we’ve got 2007 Toyota Matrix we were a little unsure it was a good idea, because our new car was not good for towing and we decided to go camping with a tent. The problem was I thought we would suffer of the lack of room inside. Well, we went on a trip from New York City to Colorado and our second trip was to WV and guess what we realized our Toyota Matrix is a perfect deal for us. We travelled a lot and the car performed both well on mountain roads and on highways. The seats are not too comfortable, but we got used to it. In general the car is much bigger inside than you could think of it and that’s amazing. We had great time all together and I think our Toyota Matrix will take us to many other great trips with the same reliable and confident ride and great pleasure.

Pros and cons:

+ So much room for a small car, good ride in mountains, good gas saving.

-  Toyota Matrix is a noisier car than we used to have, but as far as I heard it’s ok for small cars.
