2006 Toyota Matrix XR
General experience:
Toyota is my favorite car brand and I am having Toyota cars for almost 30 years already. I must say that Toyota Matrix didn’t disappoint me either. I have read plenty Toyota Matrix XR 2006 reviews and some of them were not satisfactory. In fact I prefer to believe in what I see. When I finally decided to get myself a brand new Toyota, I picked up a rainy day to test it in wet driving conditions. It figured out that the car controls the ride in a perfect way. I can’t say that it is any worse than my previous 2000 Toyota Camry even in a rainy weather. I also like all the accessories and details of the interior. They are set right at their places for an easy and comfortable access of the driver and passengers. One more great thing about Toyota Matrix is its perfect handling and tight connection to the riding surface. I will also mention great Toyota service. For the last 30 years I have changed the place of residence for 6 times and all Toyota dealerships were meeting me in the best way. I am always getting 100 per cent correct and consultations with necessary information which is very important in car service.
Pros and cons:
+ The things are set the way they must be set. Great handling of Toyota Matrix makes it a reliable automobile in any weather.
- Car’s visor must block the sun better for people who are not very tall like me.
Model/Year:
1998 Toyota Camry
General experience:
I am a second owner of this amazing Toyota car after my Dad and I can say that I am happy to own it, even though the car is almost 12 years old now. Well, my Dad loves cars and he treated his Toyota Camry very well. But I think that 185,000 miles is a lot for any vehicle. And guess what – my Toyota Camry is still a very reliable friend for me. Last year I crossed America on it and fortunately I didn’t have any problems. For all these years we have been replacing tires, oil, brakes, some rubs and so on. However there was also a replacement of a cylinder two years ago which cost only about 250$ I think. The car has got some rust on the bottom part of course and maybe we will need to repaint it someday, but yet I am not thinking of getting rid of it. My 1998 Toyota Camry is also showing great results on gas mileage. And the main thing – the engine and the transmission both are working like new. When I will be buying a new car, I think I will buy Toyota Camry Hybrid. Hopefully I will do it the next year, but till then I will enjoy my safe and reliable 1998 Toyota Camry, which was my greatest birthday present from my Dad 4 years ago and which is my best friend ever since. Because Toyota car means quality! I am sure of that!
Pros and cons:
+ Lots of pros! Reliable, safe, economic vehicle designed to perform for years.
- Some rust on the lower part of my Toyota Camry, but wait… it is almost 12 years old! It is a perfect automobile.
Model/Year:
2007 Toyota Yaris Hatchback
General experience:
I wanted to buy Toyota Yaris ever since I’ve heard about it. I like small cars and I like hatchbacks, besides the design of this Toyota car looks great for me. When I have finally bought my Toyota Yaris hatchback I realized that it has one more great benefit. The car is very economic at fuel consumption. But after some time using this car I have also realized how dangerous it can be to drive Toyota Yaris at some conditions. On sunny weather my Toyota Yaris drives smooth and accurate. It is easy to control the ride and to accelerate when it is needed without being afraid to lose control over the ride. However every time when I am driving my 2007 Toyota Yaris on rainy days I am feeling danger. Sometimes the rain comes out of nowhere in the area where I live in California. Besides I do not always have an opportunity to take my other car, since my son sometimes uses it as well. By the way, our second car is also Toyota and it’s acting great in all weather conditions. It is 2005 Toyota Camry which is the vehicle I am totally happy with. I don’t advice to buy Toyota Yaris to any of my friends. Can you imagine the situation when you are going about 30 mph in the city? And when you are turning to the left you start feeling like the wheels are losing the road. This is freaking out and when the road is wet I never ride more than 50 mph even on a highway on my Toyota Yaris.
Pros and cons:
+ Toyota Yaris can save your money on gas, because it is very economic.
- I think that the manufacturer of Toyota cars must pay more attention on the safety of their customers, since my 2007 Toyota Yaris Hatchback doesn’t meet my safety expectations. This is unsatisfactory and embarrassing for such a great manufacturer like Toyota.
Model/Year:
2010 Toyota Venza
General experience:
I have just bought a brand new Toyota Venza! So much excitement of this purchase! This Toyota car is outstanding! I was dreaming about this car even before it was designed. When I saw it for the first time as a Toyota prototype I realized I must buy Toyota Venza. Well, since I am already having it standing in my garage with all this excitement, I feel like I have to boast about it. The thing that catches the eye from the very first look is the fact that 2010 Toyota Venza is a very spacious vehicle. It is designed and made the way that you can easily transform the interior if you need. It is very convenient to transport whatever you need. I personally enjoy going to Florida every summer with my family. Well, this summer it will be very easy to fit all beach stuff in our new Toyota Venza and that is totally great! I still can’t say much about my Toyota Venza driving conditions. It is definitely easy to handle, but can’t say much more right now. (Well, I will write more about Toyota Venza when I will have something else to say!) I can also say that this Toyota car was ranked as one of the best cars ever in safety. The independent crash tests are showing that Toyota Venza is one of the safest cars ever! There is also an Automatic High Beam installed in my 2010 Toyota Venza, so the night vision will be the way better in this car than in all previous models!
Pros and cons:
+ Hooray! I have got Toyota Venza! A brand new 2010 Toyota Venza with a 3 year warranty and lots of awesome features! I feel so much inspiration, comfort and fun driving this exclusively great vehicle! If you want to buy Toyota Venza – don’t hesitate! It looks great in my garage and I am sure you will love it as well!
- Haven’t noticed yet! Hope they don’t exist at all!
Model/Year:
2007 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road
General experience:
That’s my first Toyota and I’m hoping it won’t be the last because it’s been acting great so far. We used to have 2003 Dakota, but the 2007 Dakota is just so ugly, that I can’t even look at it without crying to tears. So we decided to get 2007 Toyota Tacoma which has impressed us with it’s elegance and spacious interior first of all. 6 cylinders appeared to be pretty much enough to get a proper acceleration and a very comfortable and powerful ride for this car. At least I don’t notice much difference after V8 that I used to have on Dakota. In fact I have noticed the difference in gas mileage very much. Toyota Tacoma is a very good at gas mileage and saves hundreds of dollars for me on gas. The access cab is great for kids and the car has plenty of space both at the back seats for the family and for me as a driver. I like that I get plenty of space for my tall 6 feet body and especially for my long legs – ha-ha!
Pros and cons:
+ Toyota Tacoma is a very efficient vehicle at fuel consumption and is having a very comfortable and safe ride. I like the way the car is designed and how everything belongs to its own place.
- There were several rust pits soon after I bought the car just near the rear chrome bumper, but it was replaced as soon as I pointed at it to the customer service guy, so I like how they are working so far in Toyota customer service.
Model/Year:
2007 Toyota Tacoma V6 Extra Cab
General experience:
I like the power of my Toyota Tacoma and the exterior design is just perfect. The smoothness of the ride in any weather conditions and on different quality of the roads is always a good characteristics for a car. However I would like to mention several things I would like to be improved by Toyota manufacturer. I think they could make a little more space for tall drivers. I am only 6 feet 1 inch tall and still I feel like 2007 Toyota Tacoma being more spacious for a driver’s head. When the engine isn’t running there is no way to control the gas consumption. And I also would like it to have the i-pod dock. And sometimes I can feel the wind entering inside the car when I go on the freeway. Speaking about the consumption it is very fair – 18 in the city /20 on the highway.
Pros and cons:
+ It is an easy to change the oil in my Toyota Tacoma.
- I really wanted to get a sunroof in my new car when I was buying Toyota Tacoma, however the dealer told me that this car doesn’t have this option. I can’t understand why – is it so hard to make this option if people like it.

2008 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab
General experience:
I lived in Europe and used to have Japanese vehicles back then. When I moved to the USA I thought that the standards and the quality level of the Japanese cars will be about the same in the USA as I used to see in Europe. In fact I am being disappointed by me brand new Toyota Tacoma. The features that come in the basic package of Tacoma are too common and it made me feel that I found myself about 15 years ago. I am currently missing many comfortable features in my Toyota Tacoma. For instance I can’t get fresh air to the level of the face and the heat to the feet, when it is getting cold. The level of the comfort in my new Toyota Tacoma isn’t even closed to the level of the comfort that I used to have in my Toyota cars and trucks in Europe. When I go to the distant journeys I have a higher level of fatigue and therefore I feel less confident and safe about my ride. Some of the features cannot be turned off if you turn them on one day which is a surprising mistake of the manufacturer. I’ll explain: once I turned on the 4WD low range and the car turned it off only in a few hours, although I have been trying to turn it off for 4 hours already by that moment. Well, there were also other similar problems and only an official dealer was able to reset some of the settings, but in fact surpassingly I should have been able to turn these features on and off by myself every time I need to.
Pros and cons:
+ The ride is okay, but the view of the drivers’ seat in Toyota Tacoma isn’t that perfect.
- Toyota in America is the way worse than Toyota in Europe. The real Japanese quality does not exist in these American Toyota cars. I advice you not to by Toyota in the USA.
Model/Year:
2005 Toyota Avalon XLS
General experience:
I used to have 2001 Lexus LS430 and I wasn’t quite satisfied with it. I didn’t like the acceleration, however I must admit that the class of the comfort is beyond any expectations. Then I decided to get rid of my Lexus and to get a new car for a lower price and with less gas consumptions. As my dad love Toyota I listened to him, googled through many sites and decided I might try to test-drive Toyota Avalon. I really loved its ride – it is superb, even comparing to Lexus LS 430 and the price is 15,000 USD cheaper. So I decided to buy it. Four years passed and there wasn’t a day when I pitied that I decided to buy Toyota Avalon. This car has a nice look, is very spacious inside, has a good view for me as a driver and a nice climatic control system that works very well, providing us the best comfort we would supposed to get from car for 25,000 dollars.
Pros and cons:
+ Effective construction inside and outside, very nice to travel big distances because of the comfortable and spacious interior. The warranty was 4 years or 50,000 miles and it made both but I’m still not even thinking of exchange.
- Toyota Avalon might have been even better if they would propose an optional navigation system, because I really need it, but there is not such an option from dealer.
Model/Year:
2006 Toyota Avalon XLS
General experience:
When I was buying this Toyota I’ve heard many good reviews from the Toyota Avalon owners. I’ve heard that this model is now even better than the last editions and that the last ones were perfect and no one had any problems. In fact my car started showing its real face the very next day I’ve got it. So far for the first year owning it I had broken off radio knob, I had to replace right rear sub frame, right speakers (both) crackle and more. This was getting annoying because I’ve got a new car and you know I expected it to be nearly perfect, but my Toyota Avalon didn’t pass this exam. Right now I don’t use this car anymore. I gave it to my brother, because he needed a car for a couple of years and after that I will sell it out the next day I get it back.
Pros and cons:
+ Super comfortable to travel, especially I like the back seats, there are plenty space. Toyota Avalon is also quite and has a nice and calm ride.
Mine is a lemon, definitely the worst quality of the car I ever owned.
Model/Year:
2005 Toyota Avalon 3.5 AT Limited
General experience:
The car looks very nice and I like it because it is so spacious inside. I have had so little problems with my Toyota Avalon for more than three years and yet even when I needed some repairs the guys in the official service center were always nice to me. They seem to be professionals and they do know what they do. Lately the rotors started warping a little. I think I will need to go visit the dealer. However as I’ve said the most problems with my 2005 Toyota Avalon were not critical at all and I recommend this car for its good spirit of driving and for its price. I think that it’s perfect for such a solid vehicle.
Pros and cons:
+ Pleasant feeling of the power during the acceleration. However I think that if I would have bought Toyota Avalon with a less powerful engine (unless like mine 3.5) it won’t do the acceleration in that great way.
As I used to have Toyota for more than 20 years I will say that the quality diminished since the manufacturer aloud to assemble Toyota vehicles in USA, not in Japan. But this is my opinion based on that my first Toyota didn’t have any repairs for 5 years and this Toyota Avalon I am owning now sometimes need some slight repairs to make.
